Volunteer positions available for our Hybrid Team

2 Executive assistants / Office Assistants (1 male & 1 female),

2 Project/ Product managers,

2 graphic designers (1 male and 1 female).

Duties and Responsibilities

The executive assistant will:

  • Handle incoming office phone calls and written correspondence, providing prompt responses and forwarding to appropriate staff members where necessary
  • Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, faxing and mailing
  • Handle requests for information and data and follow up with appropriate staff member
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for staff members
  • Manage office supply inventories and coordinate maintenance of office equipment
  • Assist the Executive Director in the management and administration of related contracts and project designations
  • Ensure staff are notified in a timely manner of upcoming deadlines
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of job descriptions and evaluations
  • Assist with marketing company products

Project/Product managers

  • In consultation with the Executive Director, recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff
  • Develop a program management plan and schedule to drive the execution of the program
  • Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
  • Direct the evolution of the program through further scope clarification, continuous risk management and optimization assessments
  • Maintain and report program status, risks, and issues on a regular basis
  • Participate in the development of Project plans with OI and the recruiting and staffing of the Program Directors and Deputies for the goals
  • Identify key milestones for team
  • Work with Executive leadership in developing performance criteria, metrics, and baseline for the team
  • Work closely with Executive Director and HR Director to create an environment that encourages creative thinking, sharing ideas, and motivation for our volunteers
  • Oversee teams executing work on behalf of OI project to ensure successful completion of deliverables
  • Attend all project management training and workshops.

Graphic Designers:

  • In consultation with the Executive Director, Gather detailed requirements for creation and design of graphics
  • Monitor and enhance existing designs
  • Check performance and messaging
  • Create new opportunities
  • Monitor all executive’s social media posts
  • Collaborate with team members to create exciting, key visuals that convert customers for our business.
  • Create graphics for digital presence, including for social media, blog, and website.
  • Create innovative collateral to support various channels (this includes but is not limited to: conference/event displays; internal and external collateral; mailing materials; and internal marketing to support various initiatives).
  • Prepare for projects by doing image & comparable research.
  • Coordinate with necessary outside vendors, printers, etc. for completion of projects.
  • Brainstorm new, exciting ways to showcase our company, products and programs through compelling visuals.
  • Produce creative solutions that maintain design intent & quality standards as required.
  • Prioritize, manage & accomplish multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Photographers and Videographers

  • Market and advertise services to attract clients
  • Analyze and decide how to compose a subject
  • Use various photographic techniques and equipment
  • Capture subjects in commercial-quality photographs
  • Enhance the subject’s appearance with natural or artificial light
  • Use photo/video enhancing software
  • Maintain a digital portfolio, often on our website, to demonstrate work
  • Produce creative solutions that maintain design intent & quality standards as required.
  • Prioritize, manage & accomplish multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Social Media Manager’s job focuses on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media outlets. A Social Media Manager is tasked with several key duties, such as: 

  • Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
  • Working with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities 
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs 

Marketer works with other members of a sales or marketing team to plan, execute and monitor a successful marketing campaign. Their duties and responsibilities often include:

  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, advertising, product design and product development team members to planning promotional marketing campaigns
  • Creating editorial and content creation calendars for various media platforms and outlets
  • Assisting with the design, negotiation and placement of billboards, traditional media ads on TV and radio, social media ads and email blasts
  • Producing a brand style guide that best captures the company or client’s voice and mission
  • Helping team leads set, allocate and monitor the budget of each project
  • Meeting with clients to discuss brand guidelines, goals, budget and timelines
  • Conducting market research to determine a target audience’s needs, wants, habits, interests and other relevant factors used in creating targeted marketing campaigns
  • Researching previous successful campaigns to understand what worked, what didn’t and what can be improved
  • Reviewing the progress and success of a campaign, making adjustments or pitching ideas for new campaigns as necessary

NOTE: Ore Innovations generally do not pay a regular salary to volunteer staff, Stipends are based on the task completed and specific projects. We also provide compensation for referrals and access to no-interest business loans for volunteers.
